As the name suggests, it is about facelift, facelift, or other well-known terms from the plastic surgery environment. But what does it mean in human language?
Lifting literally means "shutting down" or "stretching". It may sound drastic, but if you're imagining stretching the skin on your face, sharp scalpels, or a lot of blood, you're mistaken.
In a classic facelift, an incision is made in a small area in the line of the ear, the skin is stretched, the doctor prepares the skin up to the nasal area and treats the subcutaneous tissues.
Compared to a mini-facelift, a classic facelift is a more challenging procedure, both for the doctor and the patient. The mini-facelift does not go "in depth", only the excess skin in front of the ear is removed. It is this piece of skin that can cause the skin in the lower part of the face to stretch and sag, making the face look older, more tired, and can cause hollows in the cheeks or circles under the eyes.
After the procedure, a microsyringe with a maximum length of 3 cm is left in a line in front of the ear.
That is why this procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia. A mini-facelift is a great solution for anyone who wants to give their face a more youthful appearance or refresh the contours of the lower face.
