S.O.S. after the flight

  • 03.08.2018

The sun, swimming in the sea and swimming in a pool with chlorinated water have given our hair and skin a hard time. Even though we tried to put creams on our skin regularly or protect our hair from salt water, the summer took its toll. Director of the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty, MUDr. Vanda Przewlocka, PhD. gave us 5 tips on how to help our hair and skin regenerate quickly and easily.

First aid for your hair

Even though we protected our hair with hats and washed the salt out of it diligently, after the summer it needs a good dose of care. Very high-quality and effective nourishment is provided by hair mesotherapy. "The essence of the procedure is to stimulate the hair roots and scalp with special preparations to reduce hair loss, promote new hair growth, regenerate hair bulbs, promote microcirculation of the scalp and improve the overall condition of the hair," explains MUDr. Vanda Przewlocka, PhD. In hair mesotherapy, hyaluronic acid, a mixture of vitamins or blood plasma is injected into the scalp, which has an excellent revitalizing effect on the hair.

Skin hydration with hyaluronic acid

You must have heard about hyaluronic acid and its rejuvenating effects. But did you know that it is the most powerful hydrating substance in our body? It has an amazing ability to bind water to itself and is therefore used to moisturize the skin of the face, neck or décolleté. "The treated area is first numbed with an anaesthetic cream. We then inject hyaluronic acid into the skin with a special application gun Vital Injector," says the director of the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty. A novelty in Slovakia is Hydryal mesotherapy, which is enriched with mannitol compared to the classic mesotherapy. This highly effective antioxidant is known for its ability to "sweep away" oxygen free radicals that cause cell decay and skin aging. Mesotherapy is suitable for all skin types and gives your skin a unique deep hydration.

Chemical peeling for skin imperfections

Chemical peels remove the top damaged layer of the skin, so that within a few treatments a beautiful softening, colour unification and improvement of the skin appearance, pore reduction, reduction of oiliness, which is also an effective prevention of acne formation is achieved. "A chemical peel only takes a few minutes. First clean the skin, then apply the fruit acid solution and leave it on for a few minutes. At the end we wash off the solution," says MUDr. Vanda Przewlocka, PhD. The whole treatment consists of 5 to 7 sessions at 7-10 day intervals.

Laser against pigment spots and wrinkles

Lasers have a very wide range of applications in aesthetic medicine. Currently, the trend is primarily fractional CO2 laser, which is a modern laser technology of dermabrasion, or sanding of the skin surface. Fractional Resurfacing is recommended for all those who suffer from skin imperfections such as pigment spots, pronounced wrinkles and sagging skin. During the procedure, the top layer of the skin is vaporized, but unlike older devices, islands of skin remain intact between the ultra-thin laser beams, which speeds up the healing of the skin itself. During the procedure, scars and pigment spots are evaporated along with the top layer of the skin. After resurfacing, the skin is tightened, free of surface wrinkles, free of brown pigmentation and unevenness.

Photo rejuvenation of the skin

The ideal solution for rejuvenating aging and sun-damaged skin is 4D photo rejuvenation. It is a combination of IPL pulsed light treatment and LED light therapy. IPL consists of different wavelengths as opposed to laser, which is monochromatic. The treatment is simple, painless, has no side effects and results in skin rejuvenation. " In addition to IPL, photorejuvenation also includes LED therapy, which is safe and effective for all skin types and, above all, painless. The procedure is non-invasive, it activates skin cells with pulsed low-power light energy without thermal damage," concludes MUDr. Vanda Przewlocka, PhD.
