Botox forehead and interbrow
The course of surgery, recovery:
- 1Application of an anaesthetic cream or local anaesthetic.
- 2Botox is injected with a thin needle in low doses into the forehead muscles.
- 3The effect, i.e. the removal of mimic wrinkles, occurs 2 to 5 days after the application of botulinum toxin and the full extent of the effect is visible within 14 days.
- 4The effect persists for 3 to 6 months after the first administration. After repeated applications, the effect is prolonged.
- 5Sometimes one administration is enough, and after 3 to 6 months of botulinum toxin, another dose is not even needed, as the individual gets used to using his/her facial muscles and frowning.
Frequently asked questions
In some cases, burning, pressure, headache, swelling, muscle weakness and ptosis (drooping) of the upper eyelid may occur after botulinum toxin injection. These complications are only temporary, they subside after a few hours or days (the ptosis of the eyelid is corrected within 2 to 3 weeks after application). As with any application of a substance that is not intrinsic to the body, side effects may occur, but they are to the same extent as when other drugs are applied to the body.

The procedure is not suitable for patients with acute disease, active inflammation, patients with severe autoimmune diseases, unbalanced diabetes, patients with poor blood clotting, active herpes, and pregnant and lactating women.
