Do you look at yourself in the mirror and instead of one chin, you have another chin underneath? The solution is laser liposuction, possibly in combination with a lower facelift.
A double chin is the result of muscle wasting most often due to genetic causes, hormonal causes and with advancing age. The first step is to perform laser liposuction of the chin, after which the doctor will evaluate whether it is necessary to perform a lower facelift. The procedure resolves excess skin on the face and neck and the sum result is a significantly rejuvenated appearance and tightened skin in the face and neck area.
For laser liposuction we use the latest device – LipoLife 3G. It works on the principle of laser radiation, with a wavelength of 1470 nm. We can target the fat in the soft tissue of the treated area. This results in very efficient fat extraction with minimal tissue damage. At the same time, the aforementioned laser radiation allows the procedure to safely, uniformly and effectively turn off your skin. In case of very loose skin, a lower facelift may be necessary.
The principle of a lower facelift is to remove excess skin and tighten the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) and tighten the skin.
The result is significant rejuvenation, removal and correction of aesthetic flaws and a face that looks youthful and a smoothed chin with taut skin. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia but it is possible to perform it under local anaesthesia.
