Condylomas, or genital warts, should not be hidden or ignored.
Infection and disease development depend on several factors: the site and amount of inoculation, HPV-specific immunity or genetic susceptibility to HPV infection. These viruses can cause a variety of clinical manifestations ranging from common skin warts to polyps to condylomas. The incubation period is approximately 3 months. It is manifested by a persistent and slowly enlarging papule in the colour of the skin. The latter gradually begins to peel.
We recognize several kinds of warts:
- Verrucae vulgares
- Verrucae plantares
- Verrucae filliformes
- Verrucae planae juveniles
- Condylomata accuminata
These benign lesions can be removed with the help of CO2 laser, the therapy can be combined with keratolytic treatment depending on the clinical findings.
