If the abnormal length and shape of your labia make you uncomfortable in your intimate or everyday life, you may consider labioplasty – surgical reshaping of the intimate areas.
More pronounced or larger labia minora cause some women difficulties when wearing underwear, during sports activities, hygiene or during sexual intercourse. The procedure is also suitable for ladies who feel that they attract attention, for example, when wearing short shorts, or white trousers, or subtly sheer materials, or are afraid that the larger labia minora might be in the way of their partner. The lips of the pubes are also drooping and sagging with age.
The aim of the operation is to remove excess tissue from the labia minora area.
It is advisable to perform the procedure just after the end of the menstrual cycle, so that the wounds from the surgery heal perfectly before the next menstruation. In the early postoperative period, swelling of the labia minora is a completely natural reaction to surgery. It may take a few days for it to subside. During this period, the patient may experience soreness when sitting.
Sexual intercourse is possible after about 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure. We do not perform the procedure on patients under the age of 18.
WARNING: For women, the procedure cannot be performed 3 days before menstruation, during menstruation and 3 days after menstruation.
At the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty we offer the possibility to pay for plastic surgery procedures in instalments. Contact us for more info.
