As we age, we lose a lot of collagen and elastin fibres, which provide elasticity and firmness to the skin. Thanks to this natural process, folds around the mouth and skin overhangs around the temples, sagging eyebrows and the like occur.
Surgical minifacelift results in significant rejuvenation, removal and correction of facial aesthetic deficiencies acquired mainly by age (especially sagging facial skin) or lifestyle. A mini-facelift is a corrective procedure that targets sagging skin and helps tighten it with very small incisions in the ear area.
In the procedure, we focus on the middle part of the face and the overall goal of this procedure is to help correct sagging skin, especially on and around the cheeks. Compared to a traditional facelift, a mini facelift uses fewer incisions, specifically only one on each side of the face and with a maximum size of 3 cm. Tightening the skin and removing excess skin will also reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Once the operated portion of the face begins to age with the results of a mini-facelift, the natural appearance of your face will age gracefully and evenly over the next 3 to 5 years.
Of course, as with other procedures, a pre-operative consultation with the doctor is important in order to evaluate the area to be operated on and to suggest the optimal procedure.
The surgeon will discuss the risks of the surgery with you at your consultation. A special examination is needed for chronic heart, lung, kidney or mental illness. Before surgery, it is necessary to exclude any inflammation in the body to prevent its generalization. All pre-operative examinations are performed exclusively in our facility.
As with other types of surgery, mild discomfort is to be expected. Bruising, pain and swelling may occur. After the operation, it is necessary to wear a face mask for 14 days.
WARNING: For women, the procedure cannot be performed 3 days before or during menstruation.
At the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty we offer the possibility to pay for plastic surgery procedures in instalments. For more info contact us.
