The implants that we use have a mostly unlimited lifetime. However, there is always something that can happen, medically or aesthetically, why an implant needs to be replaced.
Implant exchange has a similar surgical procedure to the first augmentation itself. The incision does not need to be routed in the original scar. The original implant is removed and replaced with a new one.
Depending on what you like and what the doctor evaluates as suitable for you, you can choose from different types of implants from several prestigious suppliers at the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty. We offer round silicone implants that are inserted under the breast gland or under the pectoral muscle, as well as so-called. Anatomical implants, which are teardrop-shaped implants that are partially inserted under the pectoral muscle and follow the natural shape of the breast.
We also offer you a free 3D visualisation during the consultation.
Breast plastic surgery is performed using special harmless silicone implants filled with silicone gel.
The operation is performed under general anaesthesia. The surgery itself depends on what your anatomical prerequisites are. The method of implant insertion is determined by the doctor. Thanks to the latest procedures we use, the patient can go home accompanied by her loved ones within two to three hours after the procedure. However, overnight hospitalization is also possible if necessary.
At home, you should rest on bed rest for two-three days. You can return to work within a few days, but you should not do any strenuous physical activity, such as heavy lifting. We recommend wearing the special bra continuously for 4-8 weeks. For about a month or two, it is advisable to sleep on your back and limit sports activities. After two months, you can gradually start to increase the sports load.
Complications after surgery are very rare, usually patients have minor postoperative pain, bruising, swelling or reduced nipple sensitivity. All this takes only a few days. Scars should fade and flatten between 3 months and 2 years after surgery, depending on how the healing process has gone and the individuality of the patient.
Silicone implants do not affect breastfeeding and do not endanger the fetus during pregnancy. However, after surgery, the patient should beware of significant weight changes. The result achieved may also be adversely affected by enlargement and subsequent involution of the breasts after lactation.
The results of breast augmentation are long-lasting, although like all breast augmentation procedures, the effect and its persistence depend on the individual patient and her body.
At the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty we offer the possibility to pay for plastic surgery procedures in instalments. Contact us for more info.
