The course of surgery, recovery:
- 1The patient arrives for the surgery fasting - 6 hours before the surgery he/she must not eat or drink anything
- 2The procedure is performed under general or spinal anaesthesia
- 3 Just before the procedure, the doctor inserts a urinary catheter to empty the bladder
- 4 From a small incision on the anterior vaginal wall, tape is introduced and anchored
- 5Within 24 hours after the procedure, the doctor removes the urinary catheter and in case of unproblematic urination, the patient leaves the medical facility for home care
