Condylomas, or genital warts, should not be hidden or ignored.
The cause of warts is the human papillomavirus (HPV). It enters the human body through damaged skin, and even micro-cracks are enough. Papilloma virus is quite widespread and it is easy to get infected.
Condylomas are sexually transmitted warts of viral origin that favour the genital area. They can be encountered on both male and female external genitalia.
The specialist will determine what method to choose to remove them. At the FRAIS Institute of Health and Beauty we use CO2 laser to remove them. It is a very gentle removal of diseased tissue without scarring. The method is non-contact, the laser beam “cuts off” the growth, stops the bleeding and kills the virus.
After treatment, the skin darkens, a brown scale forms, which cracks and peels off. The procedure only needs to be performed once, but local anaesthesia is required. For more numerous and larger condylomas, the procedure must be repeated. If there are many condylomas, the doctor will put on systemic antivirals.
